The….Blurbiest blurb of all time!!!!

July 25, 2004 :: Thoughts ::

I’m sure that most people reading this already know a lot about me, but for those who sadly, have never had the joy of meeting me, here is a wee little blurb about me.

I am 22 years old, married for a bit over a year, and work in technical support primarily. Does not pay much, but it’s a job. For the most part, I enjoy working with the crew, even though there are times I do want to pull my hair out. I tend to be a bit of a loner, even though people generally do not know that about me. I would rather be left alone than socialize. My downfall, I guess.

I was raised 45 miles from my current residence, home schooled and instructed in a rather strict religious background. I drifted away from that around the age of 18, struggling for a bit to find truth for myself. My dad always taught about Judaism and the roots of Christianity, and with those roots and my own search, I came to my current interest and belief in Messianic Judaism. Look it up if you are interested in religion, it is quite interesting.

Politically, I would call myself a left-leaning conservative. I know who I am going to vote for, and what issues are important to me. I often say I don’t care about politics, but I am not a middle of the roader when it comes to election time, I have very strong opinions on the subject, but I do not voice them often, except to my poor hubby.

I am extremely annoyed by fanatics, extremists and purists of all kinds, on any subject. I enjoy taking a moment to debunk any and all of them I come across. Be it a liberal or conservative, religious or atheist, I really don’t care why you think your views are so much better than all others. Get over it, and get over yourselves. What is the point of arguing Linux vs. Windows, punk vs. pop, or indie films vs. Mainstream. I really, honestly don’t care that the “book was so much better than the movie”. I don’t care where you graduated from, and my opinion of you does not rise one tiny bit when I hear for the 14th time that you read Dante’s Inferno 4 times last year. Yay for you! Now go play in the traffic. It bothers me not that I have not seen “A Clockwork Orange”, and I still enjoy Metallica even after they sold out and would not let us steal any more of their music. Poor, destitute suburbanite white kids will have to start buying CDs again…my heart bleeds. Get over it, idiots. Regardless of the choices the band makes, monetarily speaking, does not make the band bad.

I don’t feel bad if I listen to Eminem, Matchbox 20 or any other “trendy” band. I don’t feel cooler if I listen to an obscure indie band. I listen to whatever I am in the mood for, be it “trendy” or not. I will not refuse to listen to a band just because of their “following”. That does not make the music bad, it simply makes you a moron for letting other people influence your decisions, you rebel you. Don’t you dare tell me my music sucks for any reason other than you do not like the musical style. If you use the word “trendy” “following” “popular” or “mainstream” once in the sentence, I will stop listening. Period. I don’t care why, so just shut the hell up.

If I want to wear black on a day I feel like crap, I will want to punch you in the face if you call me a poser. I graduated high school four years ago…you, apparently, do not have the mental capacity to mature beyond 9th grade.

Oh, and God forbid I look “preppie”. Just because you have to be different to sooth some deep-seated psychological problems, does not mean you can force me to care. I don’t. Get over it, idiot.

Don’t take it personally. I am a bitch, I admit it freely. Just don’t come to me with mindless drivel about how you want to be different. You aren’t. I have met dozens of you. Stop trying and get on with your life, so I can get on with mine.
