Girl Next Door

September 24, 2004 :: Movies & TV ::

I finally watched “Girl Next Door’ last night. Pretty freaking hilarious, I hadn’t laughed that hard since “EuroTrip”.

I watched “Clerks” too, something I had not ever seen before. I wasn’t sure if I would like it, but even though the format was a little odd, I did enjoy the movie, and thought it was funny.

Not much to do today, maybe go birthday shopping for my husband, or just lay around and do nothing. I haven’t been as lazy lately as usual, not sure why that is. Even though I have not had good days at work, I am very happy with my life, fairly energetic (which is unusual) and out of the stupid funk I have been in for weeks. Maybe it’s just the change of the season, with October (one of my favorite months) just around the corner. I love the cooler air, the smell of leaves and chimney smoke, knowing that winter with snow and ice and a new collection of turtleneck sweaters is just around the corner. God I love autumn.

I feel like I have a lot to look forward to this winter. I have two weeks of vacation stacked up that I hope to use for a fishing trip in the spring. I would love to rent a cabin and a boat on a lake somewhere and spend seven days just lazing in the sun and spend the night on a boat. I don’t want another vacation where I do nothing but go go go all day and never have a chance to freaking relax. I love to fish, I don’t get to do much of that anymore, and a cabin on the lake is probably just the thing I need. Get away from a constantly ringing phone, away from the internet, get away from TV and everything else that is supposed to entertain us, and just relax, sink deep in thought, with no cares except to be alert to a nibble on my bait. Now I just have to talk hubby into this idea. :)

Well, enough rambling for today, I’m off to birthday shop!
