Snakes on a Plane FTW!!!

I haven’t done a movie write up in awhile, so here we go. Just a few movies I am looking forward to, or am (tentatively) interested in seeing.

Snakes on a Plane? Yeah…that’s right, “Snakes” is going to be out Aug. 18th, and I can’t wait!Haven’t heard of Samuel Jackson’s “Snakes”? Well, here’s a tidbit from Wikipedia:

Neville Flynn (Samuel L. Jackson) and Sean Jones (Nathan Phillips), FBI agents, escort John Saunders (Mark Houghton), a former Mafia member, to testify in a highly publicized case. In the course of a flight between Ohio and California, an assassin releases hundreds of venomous snakes in the hope of killing the witness.

I really, truly cannot wait to see this movie. I was so excited when I found out they were actually going to release this movie, and with Samuel L. Jackson, no less.

Who is a badder badass than Samuel L. Jackson?!!?!?

I am not a video game player, but I cannot wait to watch Silent Hill…hopefully tomorrow night. The trailers look delicious, hopefully they are indicative of the quality of the movie. I am a bit of a horror snob, so maybe I won’t be disappointed for once. Maybe. From Wikipedia, for people who live under a rock and have not heard of Silent Hill: The eerie and deserted town of Silent Hill, West Virginia draws a young mother desperate to find a cure for her only child’s illness. Unable to accept the doctor’s diagnosis that her daughter should be permanently institutionalized for psychiatric care, Rose (Radha Mitchell) flees with her child, heading for the abandoned town in search of answers – and ignoring the protests of her husband (Sean Bean).

It’s soon clear this place is unlike anywhere she’s ever been. It’s smothered by fog, inhabited by a variety of strange beings and periodically overcome by a living Darkness that literally transforms everything it touches. As Rose searches for her little girl, she begins to learn the history of the strange town and realizes that her daughter is just a pawn in a larger game.

Though I am not (I know, shoot me) a huge Kevin Smith fan, I did enjoy Clerks, and I am interested to see what direction they take with the sequel, Passion of the Clerks.
However, I am probably going to wait for the DVD.And no….I still haven’t seen Mallrats or Chasing Amy…go away, dammit!!!!!

I hope this movie is as good (or better) than the original.

I guess I am probably going to see it to avoid the social ridicule that is placed on people who are not Kevin Smith fans.

Kidding, but I am looking forward to this movie!
