I applied for a position at my local community college today. It's a simple secretary job in the registrar's office, but the compensation would include a waiver for college classes, which would really help me out right now. I am very qualified for the position in terms of experience, but I also know that lots of students have likely already applied for the job. I applied online, if I don't get any nibbles, I will drop off my resume when I go to take my asset test Wednesday. It would be wonderful if I could get the position…I'm a good employee (though 3 1/2 year burnout has made me a little edgy) and a fast learner when it comes to a trade, so I am crossing my fingers, and hoping for an interview. 

Would I miss my current job? Not a damned bit.
