300 was not a bad movie. Highly stylized, rather fanciful at times and it seemed a little short, but it wasn't bad. The fight scenes were certainly up to par, as was the acting. It did not seem as cheesy as most films of that genre tend to be. 

Plus, my tickets to the movie were free, so I really have nothing to complain about at all. 

As far as the political stance of the movie, I can see where people could squeeze a negative political angle from the movie, but it's really reaching to do so.

Go see the film, it is entertaining.
