I am off to see the new movie, 300, with my husband and a friend of ours here in a bit. I am interested to see the movie that has caused such an uproar in Persian countries and amongst the liberal media. I am as 'socially liberal" as the next guy, being all about freedoms and personal rights renouncing many of the religiously enforced taboos on our country and lifestyle. However, I do not consider myself liberal in that all this politically correct bullshit gets under my skin. Can't a movie just be a movie without people declaring that they are being oppressed or violated in some way? Of course not. We live in the land of emotionally retarded people that have nothing better to do than cry foul over something meant for entertainment.
Of course, I will have to actually WATCH the movie to really give my input on it, but I am certainly curious about it.
Righ on sister! 300 was a damn good movie and the PC babies need to grow up! I hope you enjoyed it too!
