Crazy Times

by deletedsoul | March 10, 2007 | In Thoughts No Comments

I may have the opportunity in the near future to share my story, my thoughts and ideas on religion and the fundamentalist Christian movement with a much larger audience. nothing has been finalized yet, but I am excited about the possibility of actually being able to get my voice out there in a more public way.

I am going to write a detailed outline of what I believe and why in the coming weeks. There are some things as well, that I haven't drawn any conclusions about, so I will open the floor for ideas and input about those as well.

The main thing I have learned in my search for truth and a logical belief system, is that no one, not me or anyone else, has it all figured out. For myself, I draw conclusions based on evidence (or lack thereof), and try to live my life accordingly, without blind faith or fantasy.

Wish me luck in my endeavor to learn more and share what I have learned!

Many thanks to Atomic Bombshell for pointing out that my RSS feeds were horked. They should be back up and running now, so subscribe away!!

Everytime I think that government officials are not going to make yet another stupid decision, they surprise me. Georgia education leaders have unanimously voted to implement Bible classes into public school curriculum.

I have a real problem with this.

If they chose to offer a "history of religions" class as an elective, I would not be as miffed, but the focus on Christianity is completely asinine. No religion has the market cornered on truth, or has exclusive right to be taught to students.

Yet another close-minded choice from a close-minded system.
