(In no particular order)
FoxIt PDF Reader: I have always hated opening PDF files, simply because of the bloatware needed to open them. You download a huge file, install it, then wait for a shiny splash screen to load every time you click on a PDF file. Thank goodness for FoxIt. The tiny free reader (about 1.5mb) is as fast and functional as it is small.
IrfanView: I could sing the praises of IrfanView all day long. For quick photo editing, batch renaming or resizing, or even watching video clips, IrfanView is definitely the best program out there for the job. Plus, it's free!
Firefox: That's a given.
FlashFXP: The best FTP client I've ever used. It's not free, but it's well worth the cost of purchasing it.
Bloglines: Wonderful feedreader, it helps me stay up-to-date on all the news and content from the blogs and comics I enjoy. A simple, clean interface and ease of use makes Bloglines the best RSS reader out there.
