I've stopped.
Today is the first day of my vacation, and I am doing the same things I always do on a day off. Relax, blog, surf the web, maybe watch a little TV.
But, today is different. I am lying on a bed at the moment, looking out the window in front of me. There is a bubbling creek not 25 ft away from my window, and a large field on the other side of that creek. The sunlight is gently playing on the grasses in the field, and the wind shakes the trees on yonder hill.
I am at peace.
I don't know what I will do tomorrow, and I frankly don't care. Maybe I will help my mother water her garden, or make some fried pies for breakfast. Maybe I will lie in bed all day and dream. Maybe I will go home. It doesn't matter. All that matters is that tomorrow and the day after, and the day after that are mine to do with as I please.
