I watched the new Pirates of the Carribean movie this evening. It turned out to be quite good. I do believe I liked it better than Dead Man's Chest. The effects were stellar, the storyline was completed nicely, and the acting was pretty excellent, which is to be expected from pretty much all the stars. I didn't even mind Keith Richards playing Jack Sparrow's father. I thought he fit the part quite well.

A downside to the film was the scenes where Sparrow was hallucinating. I thought that it was a little cheese-tastic after the first scene, but that was really my only major complaint. I was a little turned off by the "releasing Calypso" scene, I thought the 50 ft woman effect was a little over-done.

Overall, if you are a Pirates fan, be sure to catch the final installment!
