Dell goes Ubuntu

When Dell put up its IdeaStorm community-feedback site, the company was surprised by the strong response in favor of shipping personal computers with Linux. The PC company then announced that it would offer Ubuntu Linux on select systems, and as of yesterday, they are taking orders.

Finally, a step in the right direction!!

    Bahh…Linux is geek-ware.

    It certainly has value as a workhorse…but seriously….as a desktop??

    Currently my take is that it is great as a back office operating system. But Brother Bill has the market on what a majority of the computer users in the world want.

    easy to use eye candy.
