Vacancy
May 29, 2007 :: Movies & TV ::
I wasn't really expecting Vacancy to be that good, because the concept seemed a little over-done, and Luke Wilson is not my idea of a thriller movie actor. However, it wasn't that bad. It's basically another take on the "I'm caught in a snuff film" storyline, only this time the victims are trapped in a hotel with a serial killer who makes tapes of the killings and sells them. Kate Beckinsale plays the damsel in distress, who ends up saving the day with her heroic act of crashing a car into one of the bad guys, and shooting another.
A bit of a nail biter, not too many surprises, and a pretty good thriller overall.
