Bedtime, goodnight my lovelies!!

Where I Call Home

by deletedsoul | July 10, 2007 | In General, Thoughts

I haven't been much for blogging yet this week, due to a lot of stressful stuff going on. The most irritating thing thus far was that I had to move all my mp3's, which I stream in my xpsf player(s), off this server and onto another, due to a supposed violation of TOS. I'm not really surprised, and I am not angry, it's just a pain to have put all the work into getting my files all nice and settled, then have to nuke them. At least I back up my files fairly regularly, so it wasn't as if I really lost anything. Plus, I have other locations I can stream content from, so no big deal either way.

There are some other fairly significant changes going on in my life right now, that weren't expected and not exactly welcomed, but it's something I get to deal with over the coming months nonetheless. It's one of those things that you just don't really see coming, and kind of hits you like a Mack Truck. Part of me wants to curl up in a corner and cry, refusing to deal with it at all. Part of me welcomes the potential challenges ahead, given my usually dormant love of excitement and new things. Mostly, I feel a little shell shocked and overwhelmed tonight. I left work early so I could come home, relax and really just have a chance to contemplate what the future might hold for myself and my husband in the near future.

Come what may, I feel like I am mostly on the right path, even though a few detours could be in order to make sure I am worthy of my destination when I get there…wherever that may be.

In other (better) news, I got to hang out with my friend who has been in Austria for the past couple of years earning his Master's Degree. He's a pretty awesome guy, and I wish I had got to know him better when he was in the States before. We have a lot of the same ideas concerning religion and politics, and well, life in general. It makes me feel like I would fit in rather well in European culture. :)

Wish me luck and patience in the coming days!
