Today's the big day! Ok, maybe just big for me, but I'm excited today. At the beginning of this month, Amie Street, my favorite music source, launched a Fantasy Record Label Facebook application. I started playing on October 10th, and I've been addicted ever since. Today, they are supposed to announce conversion rates from points earned on the app to credit I can spend on Amie Street to buy new music. I've been doing pretty well with my label. My highest rank was 16th place on all of Facebook/Amie Street; I'm in 17th place right now. I haven't been able to get any data on how many people are actually playing the game on Facebook, but it shows 25 of the top users on the application page.
It works by allowing you to pick 5 Amie Street artists that you think will do well. Every time someone buys the track you chose, you get points (I think you get 10 points for every purchase).
I've managed to accumulate 8,904 points to date; we will see how today goes!
