Google’s OpenSocial Launching Tomorrow!

Google is set to announce their newest brainchild, OpenSocial, on Thursday. OpenSocial is meant to be a collaboration of open APIs, allowing developers to develop apps for many different social networking sites using one language and/or platform. Many of the social networking sites out there (such as Facebook) adopt create a proprietary mark-up language in order to keep the apps specific to their site.

If sites adopt the OpenSocial platform, developers can learn a single method that can span across many different sites.
