Tax season is here, and with it, everyone looks a little more closely at their finances.

I was thinking last night about what constitutes Poverty Level/Middle Class, etc., and had an idea that it might actually be a more accurate representation the population’s financial status and responsibility if they did the following: Instead of basing the “classes” on income, why not factor in an individual’s debt vs. savings? If a person is more responsible, shouldn’t they be rewarded for that? With our current system, unless you are very rich or very poor, you pretty much get screwed repeatedly by the government.

Just a thought, I will talk more on this later.
