The Joys of Hot Lemonade
March 12, 2008 :: General ::
I’ve been slacking on just about everything this week. I went home early Friday because of a sore throat and possible sinus issues. I slept all that evening, and arose Saturday feeling a bit better. Sunday, however, I awoke with a raspy dry cough that would not go away. Monday morning, the cough was still there. No other symptoms, just a raspy cough. I went to the doctor, where I was diagnosed with bronchitis and sent home with antibiotics and cough syrup. I made it fine through work, I didn’t even feel that bad on Monday. Tuesday, however, I woke with a sore throat, drainage and an even worse cough. I called in sick to work, and proceeded to sleep about 80% of the day. Today, I woke feeling a tiny bit better, so I made the trek to work, but I only made it a half day. I’ve got a fever that keeps fluctuating from too high then dropping too low, and meds don’t really seem to be helping. My throat is on fire, and I basically feel like crap. I HATE mouth/throat pain more than just about anything else, so this is pure torture.
Overall, the only thing that’s keeping me sane at the moment is my second cup of hot lemonade. If you ever have a sore throat, try it. It is heavenly.
