My town is just starting to recover from the devastating floods that hit the midwest over the past week. At this point, there is no way of knowing how many millions of dollars worth of damage has been done to this town and everyone in the surrounding area. It was really sad to hear all the stories today of people who lost their homes, vehicles or pets in the flood.

Thankfully, my apartment is on a hill, and did not get flooded at all. However, my parents suffered damage at their mini-farm, and several of my friends were unable to go home for days because of all the blocked roads.

It’s going to be a long road ahead for this area, I’m afraid.
